yakisoba sub, seo optimization, insurance

Today I walked to the local QQ (phonetic representation of the the number 9 twice… ie 99), which is only a block away. The QQ is a dollar store, but it has a much wider range of things than most dollar stores from back in the southern States. This store has coolers lining the walls with prepared food such as sandwiches, sushi, potato salad, drinks, frozen food, vegetables, and on-and-on.

Today I bought a yakisoba sub. You know yakisoba, right? Those noodles that you can buy in a plastic container and heat up with water (well, there are ramen noodles which are more popular, but yakisoba are similar). Well, I got a sandwich that is essentially bread and noodles. Coupled with some sweet rice rolls, and all was good.

Work was enjoyable, but also busy… seo optimization was the name of the game today. Running through all of our site and fixing our title tags for the pages. For most people that is probably meaningless, but it will have a big impact for sure.

Happy to read about your daily exploits, but I can’t help but feel I am missing the best parts (you are writing them in Japanese with no translation).

  2. Charles Says:

i’ll make an effort to translate them sometimes. But will leave some for mystery ;)

  3. Cami Says:

Hey, I agree with B!! We demand translations to English!! :) Or I would be happy with Spanish too, haha ;)

I feel happy, cause out of EVERY word you’ve written in Japanese, yakisoba is the only one I actually knew before I read your explanation, yay! There is a Japanese restaurant like 2 blocks away from my dad’s office and sometimes we go and have lunch there. The people who run it are Japanese and they are so cute! They look like cartoons! ^__^ And the food is sooooo good!! Before I was kinda scared to try new things so all I had was yakisoba (the pasta) but it has been forever since I had it, cause everytime I go I try something new. Delicious!! And no spiders, yay!! :)

So was this sandwich actually bread…then pasta…then bread again? I am kinda confused about that one =/

HAHAHAAHA”They look like cartoons! ^__^” that was so funny.

Ill try and post a photo of a yakisoba roll if I havent, its pretty much like a Subway sandwhich with yakisoba inside instead of meat and veggies.

I said, I am genki (genki = feeling good)
    わたしは げんき です

Then I said that medical insurance is important, and that I need to get some:

Hahaha :) Well, they do look funny, in a cute way :)

It must be weird to have a sandwich with pasta in it!! I’ve never tried such thing! I will make sure I ask them next time I go, maybe see if they have it there!! They have these vegetables that are regular vegetables like carrots and stuff but fried or something like that, I don’t really know what it is but it is sooooo good! I think it’s called like Tempura? (not sure if that’s the real name or if it is spelled like that).

So how do I say “Cami is feeling good” in Japanese? I should ask, how do you say “Cami is” lol cause I know feeling good is genki :) thanks for teaching me that one! I will try to remember. How is it pronounced?

  6. charles Says:

Yep, Tempura is right! I love tempura, although it is one of the unhealthy type Japanese foods :)

    Cami desu = Cami is
Cami ha genki desu ka? = Cami feeling good is?
Cami genki desu! = Cami feeling good is!

Kinda hard to do pronunciation here, but got the tool for you… thanks to a project I just helped complete at www.japanesepod101.com - we recorded over 120,000 japanese words and made them freely available for everyone wanting to learn japanese.
