apartmento, senpai, curry
Today (Saturday) was a very busy and long day. Ayako and I traveled across Tokyo to Motoyawata - a city in Chiba prefecture (although, honestly, Tokyo sprawls in such a fashion that is very difficult to tell where one city ends and another begins… the only thing that helps you spot the cities within the city are the groupings of skyscrapers and the large train stations).
Our mission in Motoyawata (about 30 min away) was to look for a larger apartmento. Our current apartment is a 1 room small box… with a separate bathroom, and entry hallway that also happens to have a burner and sink as the kitchen. If you can imagine the normal American apartment, this all would fit in approximately 1 bedroom there.
While there we met Ayako’s “senpai” which is an older friend that acts as an adviser. Sakuma-san was quite nice, and really offered a lot of help in looking for apartments. After a long day of apartment hunting, we ended on good conversation and some delicious Indian curry with naan.
