sister site revived
While my friend Burn worked for 18 hours straight, Matt encouraged others to listen to a band called carridale, Jacob took a day off from the blogosphere, Jim was probably helping a friend move, my bro was recovering from knee surgery, [insert your name here] was passing the day by [insert activity here], all while Charles took the initiative to revive his old site www.forthecode.com
Over 2 years ago that site was a hot spot in the world of Ruby on Rails - I averaged close to 10 thousand visitors per day for several months until I let school and work get the best of me (and I stopped posting just like Matt on his blog…).
Its been dead due to a failed server in my old apartment, a bad router, and a hosting provider that had poor ruby on rails support. But, after a long time being dormant under password protection - i spent a few hours today bringing up to speed with Rails 2.2.2 and getting it off the ground. Most of the ruby on rails tutorials on there are old and not worth reading (I started writing when Rails was still 0.9x version… and stopped around 1.2.3
Anyhoo… thats what i wanted to write about. Good night, and good luck.

Back when you were still here. I’m on a movie kick. Utopia or something like that, you watched it in a class, i think, and discussed it. You tried to get me to youtube it one day.

Ok, you want the Zeitgeist Addendum

I am not endorsing the ideas in this movie, instead i ask others to watch it and think very critically about what it is suggesting. I’ll post a comment with my thoughts about it here by this weekend.
