Over 90 days
So 2 days ago would have been my return flight to the US. I’ve now spent the single longest consecutive amount of time in Japan in my many trips here. 92 days.
To mark this occasion I did what every foreigner must do, I went to the city office to update my foreign registration card with my new 1-year visa. That makes things official, and keeps me legal. The city office here in Shibuya is quite foreigner friendly, in my opinion. Many of the signs are in English, and the workers behind the counter are decent at giving directions in English too. Us native English speakers are quite spoiled everywhere we go
After finishing the registration Ayako and I went to yet another burger joint in Japan. This one called First Convenience Kitchen. I’ve had plenty of burgers while in Japan, but I’ve always managed to stray away from one particular burger obsession that Japanese tend to have. That is putting eggs on hamburgers. Every burger joint I’ve been to here has a burger with egg on it, and today I finally tried one:

Oishikatta, it was tasty
I think the interesting thing with food here is that you will tend to find egg on so many things (including pizza), as well as mayonnaise (on alot of dishes as well as pizza). Cultural differences in food are always interesting, and make for an exciting time for the taste buds!
