City Hall and JP
Today on my lunch break I ran to city hall to update my foreign registration. In Japan you have to update your registration if you move from address to another. The rule is 14 days after you move your registration card must be up to date, this Saturday will be day 14.
Unfortunately, at the city hall I was told that I cannot update my registration until Ayako goes and updates her registration. So that is what she will have to do tomorrow (which means taking work off early). Good thing city hall is open until 8PM on Wednesdays, will allow us just enough time to hopefully get everything updated.
I also walked around looking for a post office during luch. Lucky for me I was able spot the black-and-orange “JP” sign (which stands for Japan Post) not far from city hall. Mailing things is getting easier, no longer quite the struggle it once was
