Wednesday’s Post

Ok, so close to the end of the workday yesterday I started feeling a bit sick. Unfortunately it snowballed and by the time I was to eat supper - I just couldn’t stomach more than a little bowl of rice. Sleep was required, and I collapsed around 830pm.

I wanted to post a video and some pictures, but instead today I will post a teaser photo - and ask if you can guess what this cool little piece of integrated technology does in our new apartment:

Charles Abbott 's Apartment

Any clue?

On to another photo, in an earlier post I believe I noted that the Japan Post sign was orange and black, actually it is orange and white. Here is a photo of one nearby:

First photo looks like an intercom. :]
Are you feeling better now, or are you still sick?

  2. Jenn Says:

Actually the photo looks more like AC module, just realized the green and red buttons.j

Oooh good guesses. But I won’t say if you are right or wrong until tomorrow ;)

I am feeling better today, although still a little blah.

    Thanks for commenting Jenn :)

Just got net connected again, and am scrolling through my bookmarks, catching up on 2 weeks without net.

——–@gmail.com is still preferred address for personal correszpondance, like password allowance.

And as for the mystery… It could be a door buzzer to let someone in downstairs. Intercom was a nice idea, but the speaker grill looks too small. the open door makes me think thermostat. red and green buttons make me think security alarm. Arm and disarm, but one would think there\’d be a keypad or something so the intruder can\’t just deactivate it himself.

Yeah, i think I agree with Jenn. Thermostat device. but then why 841? Is it in kelvin? 841 kelvin = 1 054.13 degrees Fahrenheit. 84.1 degrees Celsius = 183.38 degrees Fahrenheit. Surely it\’s not 84.1 degrees F in your apartment. That\’s sweltering.
BUT! It would be good for hot water. No… no it wouldn\’t. baths need to be higher than that.

    This is drivin me crazy!!!!
