kinyoubi desu
Here is the picture post! Yay! I love picture post kinyoubi!

Now that the celebration is over, the bad news begins. Just recently the QQ store that was near our new apartment closed. It was a sad, sad day for me - as it was my weapon against the high cost of living here in Japan. No more cheap lunches unless I walk about 10 minutes more in search of food.
And worst of all, one of my favorite treats, this chocolate danish, is now no longer accessible.

Here is a big sign at a local shrine giving instructions on offerings of rice and other things. I suppose that offerings of different items at the shrines was a common thing. Nowadays people just throw money into a collection box and ring a bell. Was interesting to see this sign, although I did not take the time to actually translate / read it.

Here was a new lunch menu for me this past week. I found this really cool onigiri (on the left) that had bacon and cheese on it. When I bought it at the 7/11 store the clerk heated it up for me, so the cheese was melted - pretty tasty.
On the right was perhaps my favorite newfound dish. Takokatsu. Tako = octopus, and it is fried together with cabbage and a little bit of carrot or something. With some sauce and radish it was quite yummy ![]()
