Picture Time! Kinyoubi!
If you missed it, I actually posted yesterday too (gasp!). I usually only post on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (getsuyoubi, suiyoubi, kinyoubi) - but yesterday something hit me like a ton of bricks (see below).
Anyway, today is the picture post. I do study Japanese daily, but often using different mediums. One of the tools that I use to study Japanese is my Nintendo DS. I bought a DS as a study tool solely on the recommendation of a co-worker, and I am not at all displeased with how it has helped me.
I own 2 games for my DS, if you can call them games. A Japanese dictionary that lets you write the Kanji to look them up (I’ll post more about it next week), and the one pictured below.

This is how Charles Abbott studies the intricacies of drawing Kanji. This game is great for teaching stroke order and proper techniques in making Kanji look good in written form. The games name says “bi moji tore-ningu” which translates to “pretty characters training” or “pretty script training” ~~ how to write beautiful Japanese characters.

It tracks my progress, shows me how I am improving, and best of all this game is fun.
And finally a random photo. Some colorful cushions we have in our apartment. We don’t have much furniture (no couch, no chairs other than my computer chair), so cushions are a must.

P.S. If anyone is interested in a copy of the game - I can hook them up for a nominal fee.

Cool! I will make sure I get one of those whenever I learn Japanese!
Does Ayako help you with all that and play with you and teach you things? Aww <3
I picture that in my head and it’s CUTE!

Oops! sorry I missed this comment
Ayako is my best “sensei” (teacher). I ask her things all the time, so I’m sure it isn’t an easy job for her
