A week in International wedding plans
So tomorrow I am going to be really busy… as if today was not busy enough - so let me start there.
Today (Tuesday) I met with the Maid of Honor, met with the reception planner, and the DJ, visited with some friends in town and had lunch with Brian, reviewed the church to plan decorations, filled out some forms, provided music etc…. and not in that order.
Since I forgot my suitcase full of clothes at a friends house this weekend (and will not be able to get it back until the day of the wedding)… i have to run by Target to buy one more pair of clothes for tomorrow haha… this is a crazy week!
Tomorrow I have to rent a car to fit all of us (my little truck that i am borrowing just wont cut it), and I have to finish off a few things for the reception. After tomorrow Ayako and her parents will arrive and the first introductions between family and such will occur. I’m looking forward to having everyone finally meet each other.
Planning for a wedding, a reception, and a trip to New York has had so many ups and downs… stress from the surprises and the restrictions that location, time, and frugality force are often unrelenting. I’ve had some unfortunate last minute cancellations and it leaves me thinking that it would’ve been nice to see everyone before or at the wedding if it were possible. In any case, the friends and family that do attend will be welcome company for our most memorable day.
I expect that after tomorrow it should all be on the upward swing. Bring on the weekend! ![]()
