Take a walk

So this weekend I took a walk to get some fresh air and explore a part of the city that I’ve never seen. Along the way I stumbled across an International Food Market…. considering that I found it only about 15 minutes walk from the apartment, and considering that I just posted about food that was hard to find, I thought this was a most funny twist of providence.

So here I was in a new section of town that I’d never visited standing in front of an English market sign.

Although it started out like a normal supermarket, I soon stumbled across some tex-mex food. Plenty of salsa here- haha :)

Can you tell what cereal this is?

exported doritos
Even some American style Doritos, marked with “export” on the bag

Perhaps salsa is easier to find than I originally thought. Good, however, it did remind me of one other great topping for tacos that is certainly missing from Japan. Sour cream - we have not found it after carefully searching many stores…. oh well.

You should start a Mexican restaurant in Japan. Carlos Abbottos Jr’s Mexican Restaurant - now featuring sour cream.
