Japanese style Interior

Although this is not the restaurant where I ate fugu (last post) it was a restaurant we went to while in Gunma, Japan. I particularly liked the design of this place over many others that I have been to. Soft tatami, paper doors, bamboo accents, all-in-all a very Japanese style restaurant.

Here we ate nabe. Nabe is a pot of meat and vegetables cooked at the table in front of everyone. The soup flavor and its contents are both healthy and tasty :)

Nice pictures. I love japanese design. Though sitting on the floor seems a bit like a leg numbing situation after about 5 minutes.

yes it is… i havent been here long enough to get fully comfortable with sitting on the floor for long periods of time. I often have to move my legs to keep from losing feeling in them.

It looks like a nice place, Charles!! I would love to go to a place like that. I bet the food was awesome too :) The only one thing I don\’t like is that it has a lot of bamboo…that is what Pandas eat and that is an endangered species. They are very cute!! Well, I hope you and Ayako are doing wonderful. Big hugs!

I’m sure the pandas are ok, plenty of bamboo in Japan :)
    Thanks for stopping by!
