When I first came to Japan everyone wanted me to eat anco. At the time I really did not like the taste of it, but it was the "favorite" gift or suggestion by those I met as something Japanese-ish. Honestly it took a little while for it to grow on me, and now I really like anco. Im pretty sure that a singalong is something i could not start :)
