We're quite lucky where we are at. Outside my window, it looks like a normal day. We can still feel the aftershocks, and we see the horrible mess on the TV, and we are worried about Makoto since he's up there... but other than that, I can't really give much more insight that what the TV is already giving. thanks for the compliment, but i’m not sure i could give a good enough description of the situation up north.
