Ota City, Gunma
During Golden Week, the in-laws took us to see Ohta city in Gunma. I’ve never been there before, so it was nice to see someplace new.
It seems that Ohta city is the third largest city in Gunma, and the home of Subaru motors. From the Wikipedia entry for Ota city, I also learned it has one of the largest selection of bars in Japan, however, we didn’t go to see the bars.
Instead, we went to see a temple in Ohta city where Ayako and her brother were taken 100 days after they were born. It’s a custom in Japan to take your newborns to a temple 100 days after they are born to pray for their health and happiness.
I didn’t take any photos of the temple, but I did take a photo of the lunch we ate (it was really good!):
