Its been a while
I can’t think of anything eloquent to say; the last month or so has been an emotional roller coaster, but that’s life, and I have to move forward.
It’s time I dust the blog off and get back into the routine of writing. Besides, there’s no better time to focus on some positive news from the land of the rising sun.
On Sunday, my teammates and I won 1st place in a local basketball tournament! This is the first time we’ve placed 1st in a tournament (came close several times) and it was great timing for us as a team, too.
Okuma-san’s last game with the team was this Sunday. He’ll be moving to Sendai-city very soon for work, so we all posed in this winning photo as if he were a daibutsu. It was also Eri-san’s last tournament with the team, she’ll be moving back to Tottori soon. It’s sad to see them move away, but it was great to send them off with a victory 
After the tournament, we enjoyed a BBQ at a local park. Nothing better than basketball (+coming in 1st place), beer, and bbq on the weekend!
